🌶️ About The Lankan Fix

From Clay Pots to City Streets

The story of The Lankan Fix didn’t begin in Sheffield.
It began in the heart of Sri Lanka — in kitchens filled with spice, coconut, slow-cooked curries, and the rhythm of family cooking.

In 2020, what started as a small cloud kitchen called The Ghee Pot quickly became something more. Every meal was prepared with care and served in reusable clay pots sourced from village artisans — a simple but meaningful way to honour tradition, support local craftsmanship, and reduce waste. It wasn’t just about food. It was about community, culture, and conscious choices.

Those early days laid the foundation for what would become The Lankan Fix.

The Birth of The Lankan Fix

After refining recipes and building a loyal following, we set out to bring those bold Sri Lankan flavours to a new home.

Sheffield became the next chapter.

With a deep love for her heritage and a desire to make Sri Lankan cuisine more accessible, she reimagined traditional island flavours through a British lens. The result was The Lankan Fix — a mobile food truck bringing authentic Sri Lankan soul to city streets, weddings, corporate events, and festivals across the region.

It wasn’t about replacing tradition.
It was about celebrating it in a new way.

Fusion with Heart

At The Lankan Fix, fusion isn’t trend-driven — it’s personal.

Our menu reflects a cultural bridge between Sri Lanka and Britain. From Roast Paan sandwiches layered with pol sambol and molten cheese, to Yorkshire Pudding creations filled with fiery island flavours, every dish carries both memory and imagination.

East meets West.
Spice meets comfort.
Heritage meets innovation.

Everything we serve is made fresh, preservative-free, and flavour-first — because real food doesn’t need shortcuts.

A Mission Rooted in Community

We believe food should connect people.

Our mission blends tradition, innovation, and responsibility:

Supporting Local
We source ingredients from farmers and suppliers across South Yorkshire whenever possible.

Sustainability
From our early clay pot concept to mindful packaging choices, we aim to reduce waste and operate consciously.

Authenticity
We stay true to the bold, complex spice profiles that define Sri Lankan cuisine — no dilution, no compromise.

The Journey Ahead

The Lankan Fix is more than catering.
It’s about shared tables, late-night bites, celebration moments, and the warmth of hospitality that transcends culture.

As we grow, our dream extends beyond the food truck. One day, we hope to open a permanent home — a restaurant where guests can experience the full depth of Sri Lankan hospitality in one vibrant space.

Until then, we bring the Fix to you.
