🌶️ About The Lankan Fix
From Clay Pots to City Streets
The story of The Lankan Fix began far from Sheffield — in the bustling kitchens of Sri Lanka. What started as a small cloud kitchen called The Ghee Pot in 2020 soon became a symbol of warmth, creativity, and community. Every meal was served in a reusable clay pot sourced from local artisans — a simple but powerful way to support small businesses and reduce waste. It was food made with love, shared with purpose.
The Birth of The Lankan Fix
After years of refining flavours and building a loyal following, founder Shaveeka Benedict wanted to bring those same authentic tastes to a wider audience. With a deep love for Sri Lankan cuisine and a vision to blend it with the best of British comfort food, The Lankan Fix was born — a mobile food truck designed to bring island soul to city life.
Fusion with Heart
Our menu celebrates this fusion — from Roast Paan Sandwiches stuffed with spicy pol sambol and cheese to Yorkshire Pudding Bombs with fiery fillings. Each dish carries a story of connection: East meets West, spice meets comfort, and heritage meets innovation. Everything is made fresh, wholesome, and preservative-free — because real food doesn’t need shortcuts.
A Mission Rooted in Community
Our mission is simple: to blend tradition with innovation, and to do it responsibly. We support local farmers and vendors, prioritize sustainable packaging, and use eco-friendly practices wherever possible. Every step, from sourcing to serving, reflects our belief that good food should do good in the world.
The Vision Ahead
The Lankan Fix isn’t just about meals — it’s about moments. We want to be the go-to morning and lunch stop, serving food that comforts, energizes, and inspires. As our journey continues, we aim to expand our menu, grow our food truck family, and one day open a permanent restaurant where everyone can experience the full Lankan warmth — one bite at a time.
